Marrow Biopsy Update

The doctor came to the room with a report late this afternoon. They are taking a closer look under microscope at a small part of the marrow, but they are confident that if the cancer in the marrow isn’t all gone, then it’s 90% gone. As it says on my Peter Eigner wrist band, “Do you believe in miracles? Yes!”

This is the first confirmation that the treatment, well-wishes and prayers are having a powerful and positive effect. Hopefully there will be more good news in the coming days. The finish line is still somewhere off in the distance, but it’s good to hear that Peter is aiming directly at it and running fast.

  17. Peter-
The tingly feelings are washing over me again right now! Could there possibly be anybody out there who is braver than you? Anybody at all who is tougher and stonger and more phenomenal than you?? I highly doubt it! The prayers that we are all saying over and over and over again EVERY single day ARE working … but what’s working even more is the strength, the wisdom and the inner peace and knowledge within YOU!!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!! God obviously gave you a great gift. He gave you the capability to see the goal at the end of the path and He gave you the ability to withstand the medicine, the testings, the scans, the needles, the tubes, the machines, the tears, the pokes & prods, the frequent stays in the hospital… He gave you the strength within to know that even though there may be days that are tougher than others -or- days when things “hurt”…. it’s all part of the marathon and YOU know that in order to win this fight, you must deal with all aspects. You are the most mature and amazingly phenomenal 4 year old boy in this world, I am sure! Your attitude and fighting sprirt are admirable. From the bottom of my happy heart to the tips of my little toes, I wish you many more days of good news. I know my prayers won’t stop – and I am sure no body elses will either! Yes, Peter, I do believe in miracles. I believe in you and I believe in God. I believe you will win and I believe it will be soon! I will never stop believing!!
I can guarantee that Mr. Path Thing wishes he had NEVER messed with you! He obviously didn’t realize that a 4 year old could be so tough. He obvioulsy had never met the Eigner’s before. Good riddance, cancer…. let’s get on with the fight! The finish line is getting closer… we see the light, Pete. Your future looks awfully bright.

Hey, Peter (and Ellie & Kate)… ya know that long caterpillar we have up on the wall in the daycare play room? The one that has all 12 of the daycare kids’ names on it? Well, all 3 of your guys’ names are still on it… I simply WILL NOT take your names down. A few days ago, EmilyClare said, “Mommy – are you ever going to take Peter, Ellie & Kate’s names down off the wall?” I said, “No, Emily – I am not. Because I believe that one day soon, they will all be back and life will be normal again!” She said, “Me too, mommy. Me, too!” So, guys, your names remain….

Miracles exist. I will always believe in you, Peter! Keep up your amazing ability to fight and win…. and we will keep praying.
LOVE YOU TILL THE DAY AFTER FOREVER!!!!
    Jenni and family 🙂

P.S. Erika – thanks for the “mail”…. it wasn’t neccessary – but thank you! 🙂
