Quick Stop at the Hospital

Erika and Peter came into town last night. Auntie G & I had the pleasure of hosting them at our house. Pete-man is so spirited he’s almost rambunctious. We played baseball in the living room, watched the Twins and ate well. This morning they went to the hospital for the pre-harvest work up appointment. Erika didn’t know exactly what to expect, but the assumption is that it’s a basic checkup and mostly informative.

I’ve added some new pictures from Erika and Ty of the recovery weeks and round two. You can see them in the Photos section.

  5. Hi Peter,
We’re so happy to hear you are doing so well – great job in round 2! And GREAT pictures – what a handsome boy you are!

I check your web site all the time to keep my family informed of how you are doing. Sometimes I laugh out loud, sometimes I cry (either sad tears because it breaks my heart to know what you and your family are going through, or happy tears because of great news), and sometimes I get big goose bumps. But each day that I read your updates, I remember to pray for you, and am reminded of the power of God, love, and family.

So you stay strong, keep finding ways to have fun to help you get through these tough times. and remember how many people love you and are praying for you. Can’t wait until we see you at the rink!

    God Bless,

  6. Peter, Yipee!!!!!!
The twins are tied for first!!!!! I hope you stayed up to see Mauer’s home run to send it to extra innings. It was a fun game.

When you go to bed tonight don’t forget to say a prayer for my good friend Craig Kusick who went to heaven yesterday. Craig use to play for the Twins and than later he was a teacher and coached your Dad and uncles in baseball. He was also a very good golfer but most of all he was a good man. He would have liked you and you would have liked him. He was praying for you to get well and now he will be sending those prayers down from heaven so those prayers will be very important. When you pray for him you can call him Mongo, he’ll like that.

Have a good nights sleep, love ya much. Gramma Mary

  7. Peter:
You did it again – there you were in this morning’s paper with your picture, and almost a half a page of things about you.
I’m so happy that things are working out nicely for you. I read your uncle’s updates on you, and they raise my spirits, and I hope the same is happening for you.
You have so many friends – lots and lots of them at Ernie’s . Everyone is hollering for you.
And so are we at our churches.
Every blessing, Peter, and to your Mom and Dad as well.

  8. Peter, Darn, I just finished watching the Twins loose 4 – 3. What’s with those check swings?? Well at least Detroit lost too. Tomorrows another day.

I hope you and your sister drank your chocolate malts tonight instead of decorating your play room with them. Whose ideas was it to paint with your chocolate malts? Yours or Ellie’s????

Sleep well tonight buddy. Give your sisters a big hug for me and be sure to say thank you to Mom and Dad for being such great parents. They love you lots.

    Gramma Mary
