Back in the Hospital

Peter had a restless Thursday night. He spiked a fever and Ty was hearing gurgling in his breathing. Then this morning he threw up for the first time in a couple weeks, so they went to the hospital early this morning and he has been admitted once again. He’s been at the hospital frequently for transfusions and tests, but now he’s actually settling into a room for the time being.

The fever is under control now and they took a chest x-ray. We don’t have any expert medical diagnosis at this time, but his experienced parents are guessing that the pneumonia is back. I suppose this isn’t a big surprise, since his counts haven’t rebounded yet. We’ll get more info online as it becomes available.

I have many easter photos that I’ll get online, as well. In the meantime here’s one of Peter and cousin Macy decorating some eggs.

Hope you are feeling better, and the fever is going down. It is no fun to have to be back in the hospital, but we know you are a fighter, and will be out soon. Just remember we are thinking about you, and praying for you to get better soon. Stay strong buddy.

  8. Way cool Easter egg Peter. We are praying that you “gurgling and fever” will go away and be replaced by “giggling and frenzy” very, very soon. Get your good rest, eat and drink what you can and day 100 will be here in no time.

  10. Hi Peter~

WOW! You and Macy made some really “eggcellent” Easter eggs!! Love that smile, too – Peter! Even through all your ups and downs, you always manage to carry with you that incredibly infectious smile!! 🙂
Bummer that you are in the hospital again – but remember, it’s all part of the recovery process and it’s a good thing that mommy & daddy caught your gurgles in time to get you to the hospital! Those doctors and nurses will have you out and running again in no time!
We have been putting together some birthday surprises for Ellie and you! (can’t believe you are just a couple short weeks away from turning FIVE!!!!!!). I called your mommy on Saturday so I could get the best address to ship your packages to, but she didn’t answer and hasn’t gotten back to me yet. You better tell her that you have some very important packages coming and that Jenni needs an address!! (I suppose I could just send them to Uncle Matt’s house??????)

Hope you are starting to feel better! We will pray for no more fever, no more gurgles… and lots of fun and giggles instead! We love you, Mr. Peter!

    Love~
Jenni, Ryan, Emily, Lily & Parker
P.S. Emily wanted me to tell you that she held a gecko and “petted” a snake this weekend! She’s much braver than me!
