Clear Scans

Sprinkling a little more good news here…

Peter had a couple scans yesterday — one was specific to the neck and another showed the cells of the entire body. The results were returned this morning and both came back clear; They were free of cancerous cells.

The neck scan was scheduled kind of abruptly since they noticed they didn’t have a detailed neck scan on record. Even with Ty and Erika’s even demeanor, minor glitches like this can create some lingering concern. Now they can go into the weekend knowing Peter is strong and ready to begin the final round.

  1. Hi Peter, Way to go on the tests Buddy. God is certainly listening to all the prayers being said for you. Everyone is geared up with their best prayers to help you and Mom and Dad through this final phase. We are there with you.

When you get here on Monday I think I will still be buried in snow. We certainly have lots of it. Tell Dino to drive his plow truck down here and help me with my driveway. It’s great snowman making snow, so I think I’ll build one tomorrow (if I ever finish shoveling)

Love ya Honey Give Kate and Ellie a kiss from me.

  8. Again we send to your entire family our prayers and wishes for Peter’s continued recovery. It is good to hear the positive reports that you are receiving from the doctors. So many milestones to reach, but it sounds like Peter is quite the “fighter”. I will be thinking of and praying for Peter on my birthday March 13. That his health will be further strengthened for him to see many more of his birthdays. God bless you Peter, and strength to all of you.

  12. Weekend greetings to my biggest, bravest little friend in the whole wide universe! 🙂
I had a great chat with your mommy on Friday – she said that you are all reved up for your fight! I told your mommy that I was niave in my thinking…. here I thought you’d have this last round of chemo, have a transplant – and then, bam, just like that you’d be all better and back at my house to play this summer! Seems like I was a bit selfish in that line of thought! This battle does sound like it could be tougher than most you have battled thus far. Fortunately – this is PETER EIGNER were talking about here, though…. and I believe he is the toughest, bravest, most courageos boy this side of the Mississippi!!! Even the greatest of champions have to fight some battles that are tougher than others…. but they always seem to come out a winner! We know that you, Mr. Peter, will follow that same road.
As you embark on this “100 Day Journey”, please know that you are not taking it alone. You have mega-millions, ka-jillions, ba-zillions of supporters and teammates who are walking this journey with you. Remember what I told you way back in August?? “Even in the darkness, there is light. Hold our hands, Peter…. everything WILL be all right!!”
You continue to be in my thoughts and will absolutely remain right at the top of my heart this week as you hook up to “Captain Chemo” for the last (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) time! The future’s looking bright, big guy! Promise me you’ll come back and play soon????
Love you to infinity and beyond~
Jenni, Ryan, Emily, Lily & Parker

  13. Oops…. me again! I forgot to tell you something…. you’ll have to have Uncle Matt post some pictures of you in your new hospital room with all the pictures hanging up that you have received! I bet you have gotten quite a few!! 🙂

  14. Peter, we are so excited that your tests continue to come back clear – way to go! I’ll admit, it’s sad to hear that after all of this great news recently, you will still have a tough fight ahead of you. You and your family has been through so much, and knowing that you’re kicking this thing, we all just hoped things would be done after this next week or so. It sounds like this last stretch will be a little longer than many of us thought. But you’re a fighter, and you’re winning, and everyone is still cheering and praying for you as much as ever. That’s what counts!

Remember – REAL champions don’t go into the last round of a fight, or the last period of a game, with anything less than all they’ve got, just because they’re winning, right?

You’re a champion Peter – so, 100% for 100 more days big guy! Kick butt!

Cary, Lori, Luke, Brooke and Erica

  15. Go Fight Win Team Eigner!

  16. Hey Peter! Great news on your test results!! Now…..get your boxing gloves ready and gear up to give this “path thing” the one-two KNOCKOUT PUNCH!!! Please know that our family is praying for you and your family as you go into this final round. Keep your chin up and fight with all your might!! We will cheer for you from home as we read your progress online. You have a pretty special family and are lucky to have so many people who care so much about you!!

    Our Love and Continued Prayers,
Jon, Cylinda, Kaydi, Colby, Kelsi and Karli Ring
