Surgery Recovery Update

Peter’s recovery is going well. He takes more regular naps, so he’s a little more tired, but that’s not a bad thing.

On Thursday, Peter will be back at the hospital for a check up with the doctor and a hearing test. Then the plan is to start another “normal” round of chemo next Monday, the 22nd. That will probably require a lengthy recovery period as we’re seeing cumulative affects from the previous rounds and operations. It’s hard to witness these later chemo rounds and their toll on Peter, but they’re taking a bigger toll on the path thing. Peter’s making it clear that he can handle it.

  2. Greetings to my special friend, Peter~
Glad to hear that you are recovering well from your surgery. I imagine that all this medication and surgery would begin to take it’s toll on your young body, but – man, are you taking it like a champ! Stay strong, big guy! You remain at the top my list of “HERO’s”. Life has been crazy around here…. among other things, I was in a car accident Sunday. 🙁 No injuries …. just a bad bunged-up Expedition! It’s going to require “surgery” to get it all better! Even in the chaos of our own lives, you continue to be top on the prayer chart! I miss you so much, Peter…. I am still hoping that this summer will be filled with some great days with the Eigner trio!
With abundant love and oodles of prayers~

  4. Hi Peter, Hang in there buddy! I know its getting harder but its almost over. I would love to come visit you for your next round. What do you think? I’m thinking of you often, and praying even more.
    Talk to you soon,

  5. Peter, You were still sleeping this morning when I called. Smart boy, sleep in as much as you can. Your Dad said you enjoyed the game last night. I’m really glad the Warriors won.

Lily and Grace have new ice skates. They are black with hockey sticks on them. Pretty cool, right? They went skating for the first time on Sunday. Lily cried when it was time to leave and Grace was ready to go watch Dora. You will have to give them some pointers on how to skate. I think they need some of those things you used to help them stand up and skate. Dad and Mom’s backs get pretty sore.

I will see you Fri. I am coming to Brainerd with some friends and then I will stay with the girls when you come to the hospital next week. I can’t wait to see you three.

    Love and Kisses Gramma Mary

  9. Hi there Peter,

You probably don’t remember me, but Pete and I are thinking of you often and saying lots of prayers that you have a good week at the hospital and a quick return home. Get lots of rest whenever you need to…there will be lots of time to play. We are really hoping to come visit you this summer or fall and have you show us around!
